Our CDMO Center supports radiopharmaceutical projects from development through manufacturing, while our future CMO Center will add the specialized capacity required for reliable and scalable commercial production.
As ROTOP expands its infrastructure in Dresden, the two centers will form complementary parts of a broader development and manufacturing ecosystem – giving partners a more integrated pathway across the product lifecycle.
CDMO Center
The CDMO Center combines process development, technology transfer, scale-up, clinical supply, and flexible manufacturing capabilities.
For partners, this integrated model reduces interfaces between development and production, provides access to specialized technical expertise, and supports a more efficient transition from early-stage programs to dependable product supply.
CMO Center
The future CMO Center will expand ROTOP’s production capacity for diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.
Built for the safe handling and manufacturing of radioactive materials under highly controlled conditions, the facility will be designed to support reliable, compliant, and scalable commercial production.
For customers, this means additional capacity, robust manufacturing processes, and greater supply security as programs progress toward commercial scale.
Together, both centers will connect development expertise with expanded manufacturing capacity – helping partners reduce operational complexity and advance radiopharmaceutical programs across clinical and commercial stages from one location in Dresden.
With the building permit secured and the groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for September 21, 2026, this next phase of our growth strategy is moving into realization.
More manufacturing capacity for ready to use radiopharmaceuticals
The new CMO Center adds specialized manufacturing capacity where it is needed most: in sterile radiopharmaceutical production.
Once fully operational, the center is designed for up to approximately 70,000 sterile patient doses per year.
That means more flexibility for hospitals, clinics and CDMO partners. More capacity for short lived products. And a stronger infrastructure for nuclear medicine in Germany.
The center brings together GMP compliant manufacturing, radiation protection expertise, quality control and logistics in one highly specialized setup.
It will also create around 60 operational jobs at the site and strengthen regional expertise in a field that continues to grow in importance.
More manufacturing capacity is not just a number. It means greater reliability for hospitals, clinics and CDMO partners and supports patient care where timing, quality and availability matter.

With the building permit for our future CMO Center now officially granted, the project is entering its next phase.
The new facility will be located at Rossendorfer Ring in Dresden, Germany, close to several existing #ROTOP sites.
Building on our established footprint in the city, it marks the next step in expanding reliable, scalable contract manufacturing capacity for radiopharmaceuticals.
The surrounding ecosystem offers proximity to research institutions, technology partners and specialized infrastructure. Together, these conditions support collaboration, knowledge exchange and highly specialized production in a strictly regulated environment.
Detailed project coordination and contractor selection are now underway as the project moves further into execution.
