A reunion with a long-standing companion: We were delighted to welcome Thomas Schmidt back to ROTOP Pharmaka GmbH. Today, he is a member of the Saxon State Parliament and the European Committee of the Regions.

From 2018 until the official inauguration in June 2020, he supported and accompanied the development of our Radiopharmacy. This early collaboration laid the foundation for a relationship of trust that continues to this day.

During his visit, Thomas Schmidt had the opportunity to see first-hand how our Radiopharmacy has developed over the past few years. The discussions also focused on the current challenges and future prospects of radiopharmacy and nuclear medicine, as well as how the European framework for innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches can be further improved, particularly for cancer patients.

“It is impressive to see how the Radiopharmacy has continued to develop since its inauguration. ROTOP stands for expertise, innovation and important impulses for the future from Saxony. Advances in radiopharmacy mean, above all, better diagnostic and therapeutic options for patients. It is therefore very important to me to continue supporting the interests of the sector and to represent its concerns at the European level,” said Thomas Schmidt.
